Dr. Alberto Corica came to Arizona in 2018. He has been practicing Urology since 2011 when he finished his training in Tampa, Florida at the University of South Florida (USF). He quickly gained national recognition by earning a mention in the 2014-2015 US News and World Report as one of the elite Urology practices in the US.

Dr. Corica received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Cuyo National University Medical School in Mendoza, Argentina and completed his residency in Urology at the University of South Florida. He completed a postdoctoral research fellow in proteomic (the study of proteins) and genomics (the study of genetics) at the Virginia Prostate Center at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He also completed a research fellow with Dr. David Bostwick at Bostwick Laboratories in Richmond, VA. He has extensively published and presented clinical studies and papers in national and international Urology meetings and peer reviewed Urology Journals. He has also co-authored a chapter book on the Spanner Intraprostatic stent.

Dr. Corica knew at a very early age he wanted to be a doctor since he grew up in a household surrounded by physicians; both his father and brother are urologists and both of his grandparents and two of his uncles are doctors.

Dr. Corica strives to take the time to thoroughly understand each patient’s situation to develop a treatment plan customized and tailored to you, as opposed to a one size fits all approach. He is an excellent listener and speaks both English and Spanish fluently.

When Dr. Corica isn’t practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His hobbies and interests include soccer, mountain biking, climbing, running, hiking, skiing, camping and off-roading, and scuba diving.
